"Static"

I always find it fun to look at how other artists work so here's a little post comparing some of my colour concept sketches with their finished pieces. I also included my crappy post-it note thumbnail sketches that I scribble down when I get an idea for a painting at work. 🙂

For me, I'm pretty methodical with my painting, so once I get a solid colour concept sketch done I don't usually change too much unless something really isn't working (looking @ you mister deer). Album art commission! Still pending final approval from the client, but I'm pretty thrilled with how this turned out.

Very different from my normal subject matter, but very fun indeed.
